Statement of Faith

Atlanta Inner-City Ministry is a faith based, 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to serving the next generation in Atlanta, Georgia. In everything we do, we abide by and follow this statement of faith.
About The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, and that truth and wisdom for life can be found throughout it's pages. Written by many people over many years, the stories, writings, and sayings contained in its pages give us advice and wisdom for life, and a roadmap for how to follow Jesus every day.

We believe that the stories, writings, and principles found within it's pages should be taught, implemented, and weaved into all of our current and future programing and is the foundation and baseline for strong, Christian adults.

About God

We believe that God exists as one being that manifests himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son, or Jesus, came down to earth in human form, lived a perfect and blameless life, died a brutal death, and was raised from the grave three days later. All of this was done to restore the broken relationship between God and humanity caused by sin.

About Humanity

We believe that all men and women were created to bear the image of God and to live in partnership with God. Humans were intended to live and work in perfect harmony with the father, but that harmony was broken through human disobedience. Because of that disobedience, humans are dead in their sin, with no way back on their own.

About Salvation

Even though humans disobeyed God, He still desires a relationship with each one of us. Because of our sin though, this relationship is impossible without a final atonement for the sins we all commit. Jesus, the Son, paid this ultimate price by dying on the cross, and secured our freedom through His resurrection from the dead. Because of Jesus, humans can now have salvation and can be made right with God.

About Baptism

Jesus called His first followers to repent and be baptized, and that the act of baptism is an expression and declaration of the freedom we've now received. That invitation, to repent and be baptized, is now being extended to everyone who hears the Good News of salvation.

About Discipleship

We believe that discipleship is the way to a thriving, productive, and purposeful life. Jesus calls everyone to follow Him, and through this unique relationship of discipleship, humans can live a life of purpose, meaning, and impact.

About The Church

The Church is God's mechanism for change in the world. Through this body of believers, radical change can take place in communities and places around the world. The desire of the church is to do the will of Jesus, and change the world for His glory.
